Frequently Asked Questions

My teeth are crooked and/or misaligned. What kind of treatment can help me have a straighter smile?

At Family Dentistry of Bellevue, we believe in offering services that combine effectiveness and aesthetics, resulting in an embarrassment-free experience that still provides stunning results for your smile. That’s why we offer both Invisalign and Six Month Smiles as orthodontic treatment options, both of which can straighten teeth quickly and smoothly without requiring you to suffer through months of wearing overly obvious metal wires and brackets. These services are especially ideal for patients in the professional workplace who want to maintain a polished image during treatment.

Do you see children?

Of course! Dr. Mack and Dr. Gaeth welcome patients of all ages to our Bellevue office. We even offer children’s dentistry services, which are fine-tuned to meet the unique and often finicky needs of little smiles.

I’ve lost a tooth! Can your office help me?

We certainly can. With dental implant restorations, crown and bridge, and dentures and partials available at our Bellevue office,  our team will be sure to find the tooth replacement option that best fits your unique needs and concerns and can restore your lacking smile to its former glory as quickly as possible.

What’s the difference between a bridge and a partial denture?

A partial denture is a much more flexible tooth replacement option; it’s similar to a puzzle piece, fitting into the gaps of your smile snugly. Also, it’s connected to the rest of your teeth with clips and/or brackets, meaning that it’s removable whenever necessary. A bridge, on the other hand, requires adjacent teeth on either side of your gaps so that crowns can be used to anchor it in place. It’s also not removable, which makes it a more sturdy and durable treatment option.

I’m really afraid of going to the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax?

The last thing we want is for our patients to feel frightened or anxious of coming to see us – but dental anxiety is a very common problem, and it’s one we’re equipped to effectively treat here at Family Dentistry of Bellevue. With our sedation dentistry options, including nitrous oxide and oral sedation, we can take the edge off mild to severe dental phobia and help you fully relax as Dr. Mack, Dr. Gaeth, and their gentle team do all the heavy lifting when it comes to reinvigorating your smile.
